Italy - Tuscany Charter Yachts

Also known as the "Italian Riviére", Tuscany is a region with it's own very distinctive flavour. It is now avoided by some due to the influence of tourism upon Tuscan towns, however, this is not at all the case on the water.

Supirsingly enough, the Tuscan islands are actually mountain peaks of the continent of Tyrrhenia, which sank below the sea during the Quartenary era leaving dots of islands across the sea. Sardinia, Corsica, Balearics and Tuscan Islands were thus formed.

Giannutri and Pianoso were, however, not formed in this manner. All the others (Montecristo, Capraia, Gorgona, Elba & Giglio) are mountain peaks.
